Edit your Auto Outreach offer and target audience

Use campaign context and workspace ICP defaults without replacing saved steps or existing contacts.

7 min read

Before you start

  • Campaign-specific context takes priority over workspace ICP defaults. Use workspace ICP for business-wide defaults and campaign context for a focused offer or audience.
  • The context editor is available in campaign Settings. Its fields require campaign editing permission and enabled Auto Outreach for both the campaign and workspace.
  • Saving context does not turn on agents, regenerate existing steps, alter existing contacts or publish the campaign. Updating the brief and updating the saved sequence are separate tasks.

Steps

Step 1

Open Campaign context

Open the campaign’s Settings tab and find Campaign context below the sender areas. Read the source labels: Saved for this campaign, From workspace ICP or Not saved yet. These tell you which context the agent will use and whether a value was inherited.

Step 2

Refine Offer / campaign brief

Describe your product or service, the buyer problem, the specific benefit and the ask. Use defensible claims. For example: We help lean SaaS sales teams find current buyer contacts and reduce manual list repair; offer a short workflow walkthrough. Do not insert discounts, guarantees or proof points your business cannot honor.

Step 3

Update Target companies and Decision-maker roles

Use observable company criteria and comma-separated buyer roles, up to eight. Changing the audience can clear its previous industry, location and company-size filters. If you need those constraints, include them clearly in the new audience and recheck the saved targeting; do not assume the old constraints survived.

Step 4

Check the outreach channels

Outreach channels guides future preparation. Choosing a different channel does not rewrite existing steps. For an already saved campaign, open Sequence and change the actual steps separately if the workflow needs a new channel. LinkedIn actions still need your own connected account.

Step 5

Save or discard the edits

Choose Save context when the brief and audience are ready. Discard edits restores the last saved context in the form. A save confirmation means context was stored, not that the campaign was regenerated or sent. Keep the current form open until the save finishes.

Step 6

Review existing work separately

Inspect Sequence and the existing contact list after a context change. Old steps and contacts are retained, which protects your work but can leave them aligned to the previous offer. Make any required manual corrections before authorizing further management or sending.

Step 7

Resolve disabled or conflicting edits

If fields are disabled, inspect editing permissions, the workspace switch and campaign mode. Do not enable full management solely to unlock a field without reviewing its publishing authority. If another save causes a revision conflict, preserve your intended edits, reload the current context and reconcile the changes; reloading can discard unsaved form values.

FAQ

Will changing the offer rewrite my emails?

No. The context save preserves existing steps and contacts. Review and edit the saved sequence separately if it should reflect the new offer.

Why did previous filters disappear?

Changing the target audience can clear previous industry, location and size constraints to avoid silently applying old filters to a new audience. Recheck the new saved criteria.

Does changing channels switch my existing campaign to LinkedIn?

No. It guides future preparation. The saved Sequence still determines existing actions; update those steps and check channel accounts separately.
