Quick question about Acme's outbound stack
Hi Anna, Noticed Acme is hiring 3 SDRs this quarter — congrats on the ramp. Most teams at your stage hit a deliverability wall around 40 sends/day per mailbox. We built DitLead so you can connect unlimited mailboxes and split volume cleanly across them — 95% primary-inbox rate without nursing 12 inboxes by hand. Worth a 12-min walkthrough next week? — Sam

What good cold email does

Six habits that keep score above 90

Score is the floor; warmed senders and authentication are the ceiling. Do both.

FEAT / 01

Cut the obvious triggers

Free, urgent, act now, 100% guaranteed. Modern filters key on patterns, not single words — but these still cost you score.

FEAT / 02

Sentence-case the subject

ALL CAPS reads as shouting. One capitalized word in a subject already dings score; two will tank it.

FEAT / 03

One link, full URL

Cold emails need exactly one link — usually a meeting link. Hide nothing; never use bit.ly or tinyurl on cold.

FEAT / 04

Personal first line

Mention something specific to the prospect in the first sentence. Generic openers (I hope this finds you well) drop reply rate by half.

FEAT / 05

Authenticate the domain

SPF, DKIM and DMARC pass. Without them, no copy will save you — every filter treats unauthenticated mail as suspicious.

FEAT / 06

Warm the sender

Even perfect copy lands in spam from a cold mailbox. Run every new sender through a warmup network for 14–21 days.

Talk to sales

Spam filters weigh thousands of features, but the highest-risk patterns are money words (free, cash, $$$), urgency (act now, limited time), guarantees (100% guaranteed, risk-free), all-caps phrases, three or more exclamation marks, and excessive link density. Modern filters care more about engagement (opens, replies, complaints) than any single word — so the right move is to remove the obvious triggers and let warmed sender reputation do the rest.

The score is a strong directional signal — it flags the language patterns Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo's filters key on, plus structural risks like link density and image-to-text ratio. But inbox placement is also driven by sender reputation, authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), and recipient engagement history — none of which a text checker can see. Use the score to clean content; use a warmed sender pool to land the email.

No. The entire model runs in your browser via JavaScript. No subject, no body, no link, no domain ever leaves your device. We don't even log that you used the tool.

We start at 100 and subtract penalty points for each trigger word found (weighted by category), each structural risk (link density, all-caps, exclamation marks, empty subject), and copy length problems. Hard triggers like 'viagra' or 'crypto investment' cost 8 points each. The final score is the deliverability ceiling — your real-world rate depends on sender reputation, too.

Three usual causes: (1) sender reputation — a cold or unauthenticated mailbox will spam-trap clean copy; (2) DMARC failure — check your DNS; (3) recipient-side complaints — too many unsubs or marks-as-spam on prior sends. DitLead's deliverability suite scans for all three and tells you which one is biting.

Subject lines are the highest-leverage filter signal because Gmail and Outlook surface them in the preview pane — a triggery subject burns the engagement signal (opens, replies) that drives every future placement decision. One ALL-CAPS word in a subject can knock 6 points off the score.
